Position: SOC Evangelist

Reports to: VP Marketing

Stellar Cyber is a ground breaking cyber security company focused on helping organizations secure their environments easily and impactfully while dramatically reducing costs with its innovative Open XDR platform. We are headquartered in Santa Clara, California.

We are looking for a Security Operations Center Evangelist with a passion for security analysis to promote security operations best practices for the growing Stellar Cyber community. The successful candidate will serve as an influential technical ambassador and thought leader content creator to the security community with the goal of gaining a following of end users who champion security operations and the Stellar Cyber Open XDR platform.


  • Establish recognition within the security community as a top expert on Enterprise security operations, demonstrating how AI / ML can dramatically impact the confidence and productivity of security analysts
  • Provide influential thought leadership content to end users that shape their approach to topics that include, but are not limited to, threat investigation, threat hunting and remediation
  • Speak at industry events and customer lead generation events to demonstrate how platform thinking accelerates detection and remediation of cyber attacks
  • Act as a subject matter expert on key trends and technologies that are shaping the direction of the emerging XDR / Open XDR technology 
  • Increase brand awareness of Stellar Cyber as the leading security operations company
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales team to develop high-impact messaging and content in various forms such as technical demos, blog posts, podcasts, or others
  • Drive efforts in collaboration with our Product Management, System Engineering and R&D

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in security operations advocacy or evangelism, system engineering, or equivalent
  • Substantial hands-on experience with security operations technologies (e.g., SIEM, SOAR, UEBA or NDR)
  • Strong knowledge of security operations, threat detection and investigation, compliance and governance
  • Demonstrated track record of security contributions, community engagement, public speaking, and authored content
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with strong sense of ownership
  • Result-driven and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • The ability to work successfully in a high-energy, fast paced, rapidly changing environment
  • B.S./B.A. degree preferred, preferably in computer science, computer engineering, or network security

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Well-recognized profile within the security community 
  • Previous experience leading or participating in security operations at an Enterprise or MSSP
  • Successful track record in influencing adoption of new technologies and/or products
  • Knowledge of security engineering, architectures and/or tooling
