Stellar Cyber Debuts Cloud Detection & Response App
New App Delivers Full Visibility of and Automated Responses to SaaS and Cloud Security Events
Stellar Cyber’s CDR App collects, transforms, and stores events from SaaS applications such as Microsoft 365, G Suite and Okta, IaaS/PaaS cloud infrastructure including AWS, Azure and GCP. It then applies AI and Machine Learning techniques to automatically detect many types of attacks, including account takeovers. It can also monitor traffic directly on cloud infrastructure by leveraging its native APIs such as vTAP in Azure and VPC Traffic Monitoring in AWS, and then apply the same network traffic analysis (NTA) technology to this traffic. By incorporating events from endpoint detection and response (EDR) and NTA along with CDR, it provides full visibility across endpoints and campus networks, SaaS apps, VPC, and workloads and traffic in AWS, GCP and Azure. In this way, the CDR App delivers the same levels of cybersecurity protection as the Stellar Cyber platform does for campus networks, endpoints, and servers located on-premises or at colocation providers.
“Stellar Cyber’s native applications give us the flexibility to introduce new, advanced capabilities in a completely non-disruptive way to our customers,” said Ilker Simsir, Director of Product Management at Stellar Cyber. “Our new CDR App delivers real-time visibility into public cloud and SaaS apps to provide even more comprehensive solutions for both enterprises and MSSPs.”
